Welcome to the All New Hikerbox.net
I’ll be making some changes around here in 2012, and the first one is the facelift and functionality update to the Hikerbox.net website allowing a bit more community interaction from y’all.
Later on I’m planning on doing a complete re-write of THE Databook using the CodeIgniter programming framework. This will bring the coding in line with current standards and allow me to build a more structured approach to future updates.
At present, any user accounts you create in THE Databook will not work in Hikerbox.net and vice versa, but I plan on integrating them both once I get time to pull it all together.
Here's how I got my AT trail name! My little hiking snowman scraped together with the less than adequate first snow flurry in March 2005.
